20080927 Barack Obama and Joseph Biden's Visit to Greensboro, NC : I was on the press list to photograph Senator Barack Obama, Democratic Presidential candidate, along with his Vice-Presidential running mate, Senator Joseph Biden at a Greensboro, NC Saturday appearance. It was the day after the first Presidential debate of this election. Sadly, I was delayed in getting to the rally. The press access area was closed by security and several of us were not admitted. 20080429 Hillary Clinton's Visit to Raleigh, NC : I photographed Senator Hillary Clinton at a Tuesday morning appearance in the McKimmon Center on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh a week before the important NC state primary. Governor Mike Easley, who appeared along with his wife Mary, endorsed the Senator in her Presidential bid at this event. The event began at 9:09a and ended twenty-two minutes later; the Senator shook hands and spoke with supporters till 9:50a. 20080423 Bill Clinton's Visit to Hillsborough, NC : About a month after an earlier visit to the Triangle area of NC, President Clinton returned, this time to a small community ballpark (the Orange County Baseball Field) in Hillsborough, NC on Wednesday afternoon, April 23, 2008. He was campaigning for the Presidential bid of his wife, Hillary; she won the Pennsylvania primary the previous night and now the May 6th NC state primary is the biggest one left. He appeared at 2:48p, was introduced by Susan Burgess (Charlotte NC Mayor Pro Tempore), and spoke for about a half hour. 20080321 President Clinton's Visit to Cary Senior Center, Cary, NC : On March 21, 2008, I heard that President Bill Clinton would be speaking later in the day, campaigning ahead of the May 6th state primary for his wife Hillary, near my home at the Cary, NC Senior Center. My wife and I got there a little after 4p and found a long line; we just missed being there early enough for his scheduled 5:15p talk to get seating, but joined a crowd outdoors to hear him. President Clinton arrived in a motorcade of three sport utility vehicles at 5:06p; within minutes he was speaking. At the end, he spent some time meeting people inside and outside, leaving at 6:15p. I took a number of shots of President Clinton from a distance, though none was particularly good.
