My Dad got my photography passion and then profession off to a start early on by giving me this, for its time, rather advanced Minolta Hi-Matic 7 rangefinder camera, one of the first to offer automatic, semi-automatic (aperture- and shutter- priority), and manual shooting modes. He picked the camera up but didn't maintain an interest in photography.
