20130127 'Strength'

This competition was open to students of my photography classes. The theme was "Strength". Entrants could submit up to ten pictures, any size up to 16"x20", mounted or not (no prejudice either way in judging), B&W or color. Work submitted was to be entrants' own original work, taken with a digital camera at any time; no photo editing other than sharpening, cropping, other standard optimizations like digital artifact reduction and contrast adjustment, or panoramic processing was allowed (photo.net's definition of unmanipulated image with the allowance of panoramic processing. I judged the (physical and not these later submitted electronic) pictures on criteria of creativity, aesthetics, and interpretation of the theme. All of these pictures are by the named photographer, who retains all rights.
